Description

Within his first police and crime plan, launched earlier this year Surrey’s Police and Crime Commissioner David Munro pledged to cut crime, support victims, tackle rural crime, make town centres safe, cut costs and tackle the threat of terrorism. But what does this mean for young people? What affects young people’s relationship with the Police? Through your organisation, how can young people be involved in shaping the work of the Police on an ongoing basis?

During the afternoon we will be exploring key issues for young people; their experiences of the Police; and how over the next few years we can work together to encourage good relationships between the Police and young people. The afternoon will conclude with a chance to feedback to David Munro and discuss how the OPCC involves young people moving forward.

This event is FREE for representatives from voluntary organisations, youth charities, sports organisations and public bodies in Surrey and aimed at youth practitioners and those working directly with vulnerable young people.
